Translate is a postcard-sized handmade book using a folded binding design developed by book-maker and conservator Hedi Kyle.
The photos are taken from one point of view on the eastern shore of Lesvos, Greece looking across the water to the hills of Turkey. The image frames a stretch of water where refugee dinghies cross.
Each photo is taken at a different time of day over a period of months. The poem is an amalgamation of real people and experiences.
